Review Mac Mineralize Skinfinish - Soft and Gentle

I bought this skinfinish quite a while ago and only now have I fallen in love with it. I will admit, I bought this product when I knew very little about makeup and I thought it was a face powder. When I received it, I realized it is extremely shimmery and is definitely not a fave powder. At first I didnt know what to do with it, but now, with more makeup knowledge, I love this product.

Packaging: Now packaging is something that I feel is both important, yet irrelevant at the same time. I dont personally think it matters what the packaging looks like, since I want the product to be good, not the outside. However, I want packaging that is sturdy and isnt going to brake, so for me that factor is important. For this product, I feel as though the packaging is extremely sturdy and I don't feel like it is going to brake. I also love how simple and clean Mac packaging is; I feel like it looks extremely professional.

Uses: This particular product has so many different uses. The most famous use for this product is to highlight the face. To highlight, this product can be used on the cheek bones, nose, cupids bow and chin. Another great use for this product is to highlight the eyes. Using this on the brow bone and inner part of the eye, really looks beautiful. I also like using this product as an eyeshadow since it is a beautiful shimmer champagne-ish color. Finally, I like using this product on the inner parts of my lips to create more depth to my lips.

The Product Itself: So the actual product is mostly positive. Firstly, this product is super pigmented, but still looks natural. The texture of this product is just really nice. I can't quite explain it, however its not cakey or powdering; which is great. I feel as though when you apply this skinfinish, it goes on super nice, but can sometime not blend as much as I like; however I feel like its not big deal, since I dont want the product blended too much since its shimmery. I also feel as though this product stays a long time, which is awesome.

Applying: I have applied this product a few ways and feel like your fingers is the best. When I use an angled brush, I feel like not enough products get delivered. With a fan brush, I feel like not enough get delivered, how I do love using this method since it blends well and doesnt go everywhere. Finally I feel like fingers just apply a nice amount, but I do have to go in with a face brush to blend it a bit more.

Cost: Mac Australia = $47
          Mac USA = $29

Overall: I think this product is great, however I don't think you need it however. I feel like a light eyeshadow or a cheaper product could do the same. However, I do love this product and I really want to buy some of their mineralize skinfinish in blush colors, just since I love this one. I am not a huge lighting kind of person, however I do recommend this product.

Disclaimer: I bought all products with my own money. I am not affiliated with Mac and they have no idea who I am.

Hair Ombre - Mini Tutorial

So I recently ombred my hair at home and it was super easy. I love ombre hair since its a little different and you can have two colours at once, which is awesome. If you want to get this ombre look, I can share with you some of the tips that me and my mum did to get this style. However, I will say that I am not a hair dresser/professional, I am just letting you guys know what we did and what works for us.

Day Old Hair: I have been told that when dying your hair, especially bleaching that it is better to use day old hair. I believe that the natural oils in your hair will protect your hair better from all the damage that will be done.

Bleach: Do not use house hold bleach ahahaha. When buying bleach, I prefer to use the powder bleach, then use a developer (I use vol 20). When mixing the bleach, I believe the ratio is roughly 50/50, but their all different, so read the label. I like to leave the bleach sit for a second to develop since I felt when I didnt let it wait it didnt work as well.

Applying: When it comes to applying, I guess there isnt a set way to do it. I just used a brush to apply it to the ends, then wrapped it in foil. I allowed the bleach to sit for 40 minutes, then I was done.

Treatment: After bleaching, your hair is very damaged; so take care of it. After I bleached my hair, I used shampoo and conditioner for dry/coloured hair. I then used a conditioning 2 minute treatment. After the shower, I used a conditioning balm and waited for my hair to dry. After that, I used two types of leave in conditioner and some Argon oil. Doing the after shower treatments on my hair everyday and the shower treatment every 2nd - 3rd day really helped and after a week my hair felt normal. I no longer do as much treatment to my hair, but still some.

Done :)

Top 5 Must Have Clothes

I believe that women should have these five items in their wardrobe. These five items are simple, can be worn with several other kinds of clothes and aren't expensive.

Plain Top: There is so many things that can be done with plain tops and there are so many different kinds of plain tops that you can get. I love wearing plain tops under clothes in winter; on their own with pattern bottoms; when I wear a buttoned up shirt, I wear plain tops underneith; to add length to short tops and casually with jeans. I love having plain singles; shirts; long sleeves and 3/4 sleeves; there is so many things to do with them.

Jeans: Having jeans is a serious must, I basically don't even need to say why! Jeans go with literally everything. Depending on the kind of jeans you have, weather they are dark, black, colored, destroyed or light, you can make your jeans casual or formal. I love wearing jeans to dinner, shopping, movies, dates and basically everywhere during the colder days. You need to own jeans haha.

Maxi Dress: I love wearing maxi dresses so much, since I think they can do so many things. I love maxi dresses more than normal for a few reasons, they are great for summer to keep you cool; since its longer, during cooler days, the length keeps you warmer; maxi dresses can be both casual and formal and finally, the dress is a whole outfit in one.

Jacket: Jackets are great to make your wardrobe transition into almost every month. Putting a jacket over your favorite single or dress can make your clothes last longer throughout the year. I also love the way jackets make your outfit look and is great for layering since you can just take it off.

Ballet Flats: These shoes are just great for everyone and every occasion. Ballet Flats look good with dresses, shorts, jeans, fancy occasions and more casual occasions. I love when I buy shoes that I can wear to almost every occasion and these shoes are deferentially great for that.

What are your 5 must have items?

NOTD - Gel Pink, Purple and Blue Glitter with Bow

I recently got my nails done with gel from a salon and this is the design that I got. I have gotten gel nails in the past, but only just got them done agian on Friday. I really love having gel nails since it makes my nails stronger, doesnt chip designs and allows my nails to grow more. The gel my salon uses is IBD.

So the design I got on my nails is mainly pink with glitter. I got each tip done in bright pink with gold glitter, then a silver line. On each of my ring finger I got a different colour; on my left blue and right purple. I also got a bow on both of ring fingers in the colour that matched the nail.

I get my nails done every three weeks, so I can't wait to get my new design.

September Favorites

Sorry for this favorites post being a little late, but here it is. So this month I haven't tried many new products, however the ones I did try I loved.

NYX Concealer in a Jar: I forgot to include this in the picture, however this concealer has been great. I usually don't use concealers that much, but now that I don't wear as much foundation, I do use more concealer. I feel like this concealer covers everything and lasts a long time, but is also easy to apply.

Australis Make-up Finishing Spray: When I first tried this a little while ago, I hated it. Now that I have started using it again, I love it. I feel as though it really makes my makeup last longer and it also helps alot with preventing cakieness. I also love how this spray doesn't smell harsh and is great since its getting hot, so a quick spray throughout the day freshes my makeup.

Easy Piercing Spray: Since I have a new-ish piercing, I need to keep cleaning it. There are two sprays that I have; one for fresh piercing (orange bottle) and one for older piercings (blue bottle). So since my piercing is about 3 - 4 months old, I need the blue spray to prevent infection and help with the healing process.

Revlon Photoready Foundation: I bought this foundation this month since I heard so many great reviews. I really do love this foundation, it covers, has a bit of sparkle and lasts a long time. I feel as though this foundation works well with my skin and I like the way it looks on my skin.

Revlon Colorburst 001 Lilac: I have been wanting a purple lipstick for a while so I bought this one. I really love the color, packaging and feel of this lipstick. I feel as though this lipstick lasts a descent amount of time, has a bright colour and isn't drying; which is great.

Colgate Whitening Toothpaste: This one is pretty random, but I love this toothpaste. I am trying to make my teeth nice and white, so I have been using this tooth paste. I love the fact it helps whiten my teeth, also makes them very clean and make my mouth really fresh.

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish, Soft and Gentle: I bought this skinfinish ages ago and never used it much; but I have been this month. I love this skinfinish for a nice shimmery highlight and I think that it looks great on my skin to add a glow. I also love the texture of the powder and the fact this will last an extremely long time.

Stila Cream Blush in Peony: I love this blush so much. I got it in a set that I bought and although it is only a sample size, it has lasted me a while. I love the colour, the creamy texture and how it warms up my skin tone, yet adds a light flush. The blush is also extremely pigmented, which is great.

So that is this months favourites. Not too many, but I liked alot of products that I have never liked before.
