My Everyday Face



I thought I would share with you guys my everyday makeup. So firstly, I don't wear makeup everyday. I don't think that wearing makeup everyday is good for your face, but if you do, it totally cool. Since I am homeschooled, I don't usually have anywhere to go, therefore I like to keep my face clean.

When I do go out however, I like to wear some makeup. If I am not going anywhere too big, then I don't usually wear eyeshadow, but instead I like to wear some brighter lipstick. So this is what I do for my basic everyday face.

Foundation/Face: For my everyday face, I like to wear foundation, concealer and powder. I am currently using Revlon Photoready Foundation; I use one pump of foundation and apply it with my clean fingers just lightly on the face. From there, I use a duo fiber brush to spread the foundation and blend it out. If I need a tiny bit more coverage, I like to pump a little bit more foundation onto my brush and just pat it onto areas I need.

When it comes to concealer, I mainly only conceal blemishes and under eye circles. I am currently using the NYX Concealer in a Jar and I use just a flat brush to apply the concealer to any areas I need. I blend the concealer with the brush first and if needed, just pat the areas with my fingers.

Finally, I finish with powder. I am currently using the BYS Compact Face Powder and I like to use a big face brush to just blend the powder over my foundation.

Eyebrows: I make sure that I always fill in my eyebrows since my hair is currently darker than my eyebrows. I pretty much only use an eyeshadow to fill in my brows. I like to use a medium-dark colours and an angled small brush to gently fill my brows in by using short strokes.

Eyes: So with my eyes, I don't use any eyeshadows as such, but I do some other things to make my eyes stand out. So firstly, with my Kohl eyeliner, I line my top and bottom water line. I also use mascara on my lashes. I like to make my top lashes really think and when I coat my bottom lashes, I make them thinner.

Lips: I like to have a bold-ish lip for everyday. Even though my lip in this photo is sorta nude, but I do like to wear a bolder lip since I don't wear eyeshadow and I want add a little something-something to my look. I usually only wear a pink lip, since I feel like red doesn't suit me. I wear a different lip most days.

That is basically my everyday look. I don't wear much makeup, but when it's written down, it seems like more.

Makeup Haul

 


So I recently went to the shops to get some foundation and lipstick and this is what I got. The first thing I got was the Revlon Photoready Foundation, which I love. I wanted to try to use some better foundation and even though Revlon is known as 'drugstore', I feel like this foundation although isn't high end, I do feel that it is better quality that most drugstore foundations.

The next item I got was concealer. I have never really worn concealer much before, but now that I have been wearing less foundation, sometimes I do need a little bit of help in certain areas. The concealer I bought was the NYX Concealer in a Jar. I love this concealer, since NYX is very good quality. When using this concealer, you only need at little, yet goes on so smooth and covers alot of different types of blemishes.

Finally, I bought two BYS lipsticks. Some BYS products aren't very good, but I feel that their lipsticks are pretty good. I bought a lipstick that is a lighter natural pink and another really bright deep pink. I enjoy wearing both of these lipsticks.

So this haul isn't too big, but I love all the products that I bought.

Pink and White Arm Candy

 


I am very new to arm candy. I have often just worn a watch and maybe a bracelet on the other arm. Now, I just love wearing arm candy, since it stands out so much and I love that.

The arm candy that I decided to wear today is simple, yet pretty. So I am wearing one of my favorite white watches that I bought on a cruise, which has a cute purple face. Next, I am wearing a silver bracelet that has a huge heart and key charms. Finally, I am wearing this pretty dramatic pink bracelet that has three bracelets in one. I love this bracelet since it has all these different beads and looks really beautiful on.

Wearing arm candy is a great way to pump up an outfit. I love wearing arm candy with cute everyday outfits and I make sure that I always wear watches.

Weight Loss - Week 1


I think sharing my weight loss journey is important, not only to help myself, but to help others. Now when it comes to my personal journey, I am more concerned with trying to change my whole lifestyle, rather than just loose weight. If it takes me a few years to get to my goal, but change the way I am, I would prefer that, than take some weight loss shakes and not be able to keep it up in ten years time. Now this is just a personal opinion, but I think it will be more effective for me.

So last week was my first week in my weight loss/healthy journey and I think it went okay. I tried to make sure I exercised everyday, although I did miss a few day. When is came to food, I also tried to eat smaller meals, but also healthier meals.

With my weight loss, I really mainly only focuse on my food and exercise during the weekdays. When is comes to weekends, I want to enjoy myself a little bit and since I am trying to change my life style, rather than loose weight fast, so I don't mind enjoying my weekends. However, I don't want to go too crazy on the weekends, since I am trying to be more healthy.

Exercise: This week I have mainly focused on cadio. I am trying to make sure I exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday; that is my life change exercise goal. Now if in future, I don't feel like working out as much, even doing 30 minutes of yoga would make me happy, just 30 minutes a day. Now this week I focused on cadio, since I do want to loose weight (preferably not too slow), so this week I wanted to move around as much as possible in those 30 minutes. For my exercise, I like doing aerobics and I use the Wii game My Fitness Coach. I like this game since it has cadio, legs, arms, flexibility, yoga and so on. This game allows you to pick the amount of times for each workout and its just really great to work out to.

Another thing that I did for exercise, was working on my thighs. I hate my thighs since they are very large, so I found this mini workout to work on making my thighs look better.  By doing heel pulses, leg raises, froggers and sideway scissors, hopefully my thighs will get worked on and the inner gap will hopefully appear.

So this week, I basically did my 30 mins of cadio and my thigh workout. I only did about 10 minutes of cadio on Thursday, then did none on Friday. The thing is, I just didn't feel motivated and kinda lost hope within the first few days; but since today is Monday and I exercised again, I think we all have our bad days. I also did my thigh workout just once and I am planing to do it more this week. I also don't workout on weekends.

Food: This week's food was a little weird. I have been really hungry which was something that I wasn't expecting. I did some research and possibly my hunger is due to the fact that I have been exercising and I need more food. With that being said, this week I have tried to cut back on my big meals, but still have a few more snacks during the day.

I have been trying to eat more healthy and cut back on junk food. For breakfast, I still eat white bread, but instead of four pieces, I now only have two. I make sure that I have a piece of fruit with my breakfast and have either a healthy snack or a pieces of fruit for a mid morning snack. My main goal for lunch is to have some that isn't hot chips. Usually I either don't eat lunch or have hot chips; so for right now, I am trying to just eat a somewhat healthy lunch. In the afternoon, I also try to have a similar snack to the morning and wait until dinner for my next meal. I usually don't have much of a sweet tooth, so cutting out on desert really doesn't bother me.

I did however have a few bad things during the week. I was going all go until Friday, then I had some take away, which wasn't good. However on Saturday, I was asked to stay back at work and inturn I had a lunch break. I was so happy with myself since I did eat takeaway, but instead I made myself a chicken sandwhich, with a diet coke. However that night we had all you can eat pizza, enough said.

Weight Loss: So unfortunately, I really don't know if I have lost weight this week since I didn't weigh or measure myself before hand. However, I did weigh myself on Thursday and I still weigh the same today, so after a weekend of bad food, I feel pretty happy about that. I did measure myself today, so I will know more next week.

Overall: I feel really good this week. I don't have that gross heavy feeling inside my stomach and I feel like even though I may not have lost weight, I do feel like I can hold my stomach in a little more and therefore feel a tiny bit slimmer.

Costmetics Plus Haul



So I recently went to Cosmetics Plus to get some foundation and this is what I ended up getting. If you have never heard of the shop, Cosmetics Plus is an Australian shop that sells makeup, hair stuff, accessories, body jewelry and they also do professional piercing.

So I went there and bought these three items. I got:
-BYS Foundation in Beige
-BYS Powder in Dark
-An industrial bar

I love this shop since most of their products are cheaper than most Aussie shops. I get all my piercings done here and they are super nice. When is comes to the products, I found that the foundation kind of sucks; the foundation is very shear and a bit gloppy. On the other hand the powder is really great and lasts all day.

I also love the barbell that I got. Although my ear is still tender, I can't put it in yet, the actual curl to the bar looks good. I love when Cosmetics Plus has sales on their body jewelry since its always good quality. I only got a small haul this time, since I actually stuck to my word when I said I was gonna buy foundation.
